Happy Thanksgiving to all, and I bet you are here because you’re secretly scrolling around your phone during the interminable __________ (fill in: football game, parade, lunch, Thanksgiving dinner. And for that, you’re welcome.
Now we are in the thick of Oscar season. I have seen maybe 80% of the potential nominees, so I guess I’m a little less biased since some of these predictions are just based on vibes. Still not sure if the Academy will totally embrace Emilia Pérez, Queer and Nickel Boys or if the popularity of The Substance will overcome to ick factor and get Demi Moore her first Oscar nomination.
Next month, there will be more clues as the critics group, the Golden Globes and the Oscars shortlist are all released in December. But for now, this is the line-up I predict from my Spidey Oscar Prognosticator Sense. These are the Top 5 predictions with 2 possible ones.
